  PINE DUNES HIRES NEW GOLF PRO

Golf lessons now available for all players

November 1, 2004 (Frankston, TX)—Pine Dunes Golf & Resort, one of the top golf courses in the US as recognized by Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golf Week, recently announced the hiring of John Sykes as their golf pro. Sikes will be responsible for developing a golf school, tournaments, camps and helping golfers enjoy the course.

A golf professional since 1982, Sikes has helped golfers of all levels. He was elected to the PGA in 1993. He has worked on both public and private courses over the course of his career as golf professional, director of golf, teaching professional and golf course owner. Sikes developed summer camps for thousands of junior players. He has spent considerable time on the professional mini-tours, including 4 PGA qualifying tournaments and all four rounds of the 1995 Byron Nelson Classic. Prior to coming to Pine Dunes, Sikes was the golf pro at Mansfield National.

“Helping players improve their game is my passion,” said John Sikes. “The development of a golf school, camps and tournaments will add to Pine Dunes great reputation.”

Golfers of all playing levels can receive expert instruction 7 days a week. Sike’s ability to teach and train comes from a lifetime of practicing, playing, competing, and teaching golf. His method of teaching is easy-going, informative and fun. The cost of individual instruction is $80.00 per session. On course instruction is $160.00.
